Dr. Syed S. Hussain is dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality dental care with a gentle and patient-focused approach. With a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient comfort, he strives to create a welcoming environment where individuals and families feel confident in their care.

Dr. Hussain earned his dental degree from Boston University and completed his initial dental training at the University of Karachi. His diverse educational background has provided him with extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry.

He provides comprehensive care including restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants, and dentures. Dr. Hussain believes in individualized treatment planning and takes the time to ensure each patient understands their options and feels comfortable throughout their visit.

As a Sugar Land local, Dr. Hussain is proud to serve the community he calls home. He lives in Sugar Land with his wife and children and values building long-term relationships with his patients and their families.

Srinivas Ayilavarapu

BDS, DSc, MDS

Dr. Srinivas Ayilavarapu is a tenured Professor in Periodontics and Dental Hygiene and serves as the Director of the Advanced Periodontics Residency Program at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry. A board-certified periodontist and dental implant surgeon, he has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry since 2011 and currently serves as a Board Examiner. Dr. Ayilavarapu received his BDS from Bapuji Dental College (India), his MDS in Periodontology from the University of Mumbai, and completed advanced training in Periodontology (CAGS) and a Doctor of Science (DSc) in Oral Biology at Boston University. Clinically, he practices periodontics and implant dentistry at UT Dentists in Houston and Sugar Land, TX. His expertise includes dental implant surgery, bone grafting, periodontal regeneration, esthetic periodontal procedures, and soft tissue grafting, with a strong emphasis on tooth preservation and interdisciplinary care.

Dr. Ayilavarapu is an accomplished researcher and educator. He is the recipient of the Nevins Teaching and Clinical Research Fellowship (2012) and the AAP Educator Award in Periodontics (2018). His scholarly work includes publications in leading journals such as Journal of Periodontology, Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Immunology, and Periodontology 2000, as well as contributions to academic textbooks. His research focuses on dental implant healing, periodontal disease, inflammation biology, and the impact of systemic conditions such as diabetes on periodontal health.

Outside of his professional activities, Dr. Ayilavarapu enjoys biking, traveling, and exploring national parks with his family.
